6Safety precautionsWARNINGPrecaution for appliance fi lledwith R32Pay careful attention to the followingpoints when operating the appliancesand dealing with different refrigerants. The appliance shall be installed,and/or operated in a room withfloor area larger than Amin (m²)and keep away from ignitionsources, such as heat/sparks/open flame or hazardous areassuch as gas appliances, gascooking, reticulated gas supplysystems or electric cookingappliances, etc. (Refer to TableA of Installation instructions tablefor Amin (m²))Be aware that refrigerant maynot contain an odour, highlyrecommended to ensure suitableflammable refrigerant gasdetectors are present, operatingand able to warn of a leak.Since the working pressure ishigher than that of refrigerantR22 models, some of the pipingand installation and service toolsare special.Especially, when replacing arefrigerant R22 model with a newrefrigerant R32 model, alwaysreplace the conventional pipingand flare nuts with the R32 andR410A piping and flare nuts onthe outdoor unit side. The R32 flare nut and pipe onthe outdoor unit side can also beused for a R410A model.Models that use refrigerant R32and R410A have a differentcharging port thread diameter toprevent erroneous charging withrefrigerant R22 and for safety. Therefore, check beforehand.[The charging port threaddiameter for R32 and R410A is12.7 mm (1/2 inch).]Be extra careful so that foreignmatter (oil, water, etc.) does notenter the piping. Also, when storing the piping, securely seal the opening bypinching, taping, etc. (Handlingof R32 is similar to R410A.)This appliance shall be stored ina well ventilated area. This appliance shall be storedin a room without continuouslyoperating open flames andignition sources. This appliance shall be storedso as to prevent mechanicaldamage from occurring.Do not use means to acceleratethe defrosting process orto clean, other than thoserecommended by manufacturer.Any unfit method or usingincompatible material may causeproduct damage, burst andserious injury. This equipment must be earthedto prevent electrical shock or fire.Prevent electric shock byswitching off the power supplyand unplug:-Before cleaning or servicing,-When extended non-use, or-During abnormally stronglightning activity.
