6Safety precautionsPrevent electric shock by switching offthe power supply and unplug:- Before cleaning or servicing,- When extended non-use, or- During abnormally strong lightningactivity.Precaution for using R32 refrigerantPay careful attention to the following pointswhen operating the appliances and dealingwith different refrigerants.Since the working pressure is higherthan that of refrigerant R22 models, some of the piping and installation andservice tools are special.Especially, when replacing arefrigerant R22 model with a newrefrigerant R32 model, always replacethe conventional piping and flare nutswith the R32 and R410A piping andflare nuts on the outdoor unit side. For R32 and R410A, the same flarenut on the outdoor unit side and pipecan be used.Models that use refrigerant R32 andR410A have a different charging portthread diameter to prevent erroneouscharging with refrigerant R22 and forsafety. Therefore, check beforehand. [Thecharging port thread diameter for R32and R410A is 12.7 mm (1/2 inch).]Be more careful than R22 so thatforeign matter (oil, water, etc.) doesnot enter the piping. Also, when storing the piping, securelyseal the opening by pinching, taping, etc. (Handling of R32 is similar toR410A.)This appliance shall be stored in a wellventilated area. This appliance shall be stored in aroom without continuously operatingopen flames and ignition sources. This appliance shall be stored so asto prevent mechanical damage fromoccurring.CAUTIONIndoor unit and outdoor unitDo not wash the indoor unit with water, benzine, thinner or scouring powder toavoid damage or corrosion at the unit.Do not use for preservation of preciseequipment, food, animals, plants, artwork or other objects. This maycause quality deterioration, etc.Do not use any combustible equipmentin front of the airflow outlet to avoid firepropagation.Do not expose plants or pet directly toairflow to avoid injury, etc.Do not touch the sharpaluminium fin, sharp partsmay cause injury.Do not switch ON the indoor unit whenwaxing the floor. After waxing, aeratethe room properly before operating theunit.Do not install the unit in oily andsmoky areas to prevent damage to theunit.Do not dismantle the unit for cleaningpurpose to avoid injury.Do not step onto an unstable benchwhen cleaning the unit to avoid injury.Do not place a vase or water containeron the unit. Water may enter the unitand degrade the insulation. This maycause an electric shock.Do not open window or door forlong time during operation, it maylead to inefficient power usage anduncomfortable temperature changes.Prevent water leakage by ensuringdrainage pipe is:- Connected properly,- Kept clear of gutters and containers,or- Not immersed in waterAfter a long period of use or use withany combustible equipment, aerate theroom regularly.
