If a cassette wasrecorded on another unit, it may be necessary to set the trackposition manually if you experience distortions.VHS playback with high picture qualityYou can play video cassettes in a high picture quality via theTP channel (copy input channel) in progressive or RGB mode.The television must be RGB- or progressive-capable.! Press DVD and use CH , to select the TP channel.! Press VHS and then PLAY . Playback begins.If the index signals are too close together, this function may notwork. Thus, the recordings should be at least 5 minutes long.The picture is noisy or unclear during playback.! During normal or slow-motion playback,press TRACKING/V-LOCK + / -, untilthe noise disappears.If the still picture is noisy, first switchthe unit to slow-motion and then set thetrack position.With some televisions, the picture can be displaced up or downduring some special playback functions.These are not functional problems.Some video cassettes do not allow thetrack position to be controlled.This is not a functional problem.Control the track position automatically! Press TRACKING/V-LOCK + and - simultaneously to go backto automatic tracking.
