Editing videoVQT2J6243[HDD]DR File Conversion is a function to convert the recordingmode of the title in DR mode. The size of the converted titlewill be small regularly. It will take about the same time asplayback of the title to convert the recording mode.1 Select “DR File Conversion” in “Edit”,then press [OK].2 Select the recording mode, then press[4].3 Select whether to record the subtitle ornot, then press [4].4 Select when to start the conversion, thenpress [OK].5 Select whether to delete the original titleor not, then press [OK].≥ To use “DR File Conversion”, the HDD needs enough storage capacity.≥ The size might increase when the recording mode is converteddepending on the title, such as with radio programmes.≥ DR File Conversion is stopped when the power is turned on whileconverting with power turned off. Conversion will start from thebeginning again once the power is turned off.≥ When converted, the audio content (audio type and audio channelnumber) will be selected according to the following settings:– “Audio Type for Digital Broadcast” (> 79)– “Audio for HG / HX / HE / HL / HM Recording” (> 79)≥ In titles with the Auto Renewal Recording function (> 30) set, aprogramme may be unintentionally converted while in “During standby”.DR File Conversion“Automatic” Subtitles will be recorded for titles withsubtitles.You cannot switch the subtitle on or offduring the playback.“Off” Subtitle will not be recorded.“Now” Conversion begins immediately afterstep 6.Recording and playback are notavailable during conversion.
