MessagingUsing text and multimedia messagingYou can use your phone to send and receive text messages using SMS (Short Message Service). If youhave subscribed to your mobile network operator’s MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), you can alsosend and receive messages that contain media files, such as pictures and videos. For details about theseservices, contact your mobile network operator.Note• SMS messages are typically limited to 160 characters. This limit may vary depending on the regionand the language.• You may incur additional charges if you send or receive messages while roaming. Contact yourmobile network operator for details.Composing and sending a message1. Tap [Messaging] in the Home screen or app list.2. Tap .3. Enter the appropriate information in the [To] and [Type message] fields.• To attach a file, tap , select the desired option, and then follow the on-screen instructions.• To add a subject or select other options, tap and then select the desired option.4. Tap .• You can save a message as a draft before sending the message by tapping in the upper-left cornerof the screen. The message will be saved and [Draft] will be displayed in the conversation header.To resume composing the draft message, tap the conversation.Reading a received messageWhen a message is received, is displayed on the left side of the status bar.
