Wipe the body of the applianceand the reversible cups with tis-sues or cotton buds, taking par-ticular care to thoroughly wipethe insides of the suction cup.Regular maintenance(See Figure 9)• Suction Hole (Filter) and MistNozzleTurn the Power Switch off andremove any accumulated dirtusing the Cleaning Tool provided.• ChargerClean the Charger using a clothand soapy water, then dry thor-oughly before resuming use.• Do not use detergent to avoid therisk of discoloration, deterioration,or cracking.Recycling the batteryATTENTION :The product you have purchased ispowered by a nickel metal hydride bat-tery which is recyclable at the end of itsuseful life. Under various state andlocal laws it may be illegal to disposeof this battery in your municipal wastestream. Please call 1-800-8-BATTERYfor information on how to recycle thisbattery.Before disposal of this appliance,the battery must be removed follow-ing the below procedure.WARNING : Do not attempt to replacethe battery for the purpose of reusingthe appliance. This could result in therisk of fire or electric shock.Removing the batteryRemove the battery as explainedbelow. (See Figure 10)1. Unscrew the screw and removethe battery cover.2. Unlatch the hooks on eitherside and pull out from the bodyof the appliance.3. Cut the red and black leadwires on either side and furtherpull out from the body of theappliance.4. Insert a flat-head screwdriverinto the slot (#) and lift up theNi-MH battery.5. Remove the Ni-MH battery.Please dispose of the applianceand the battery in accordance withthe relevant environmental protec-tion and recycling regulations.The battery should never be incin-erated!The battery may be replaced at aPanasonic customer service center oran authorized customer service agent.
