- 0 -(1) LED lightCAUTION:• The built-in LED light is designed toilluminate the small work area tempo-rarily.• Do not use it as a substitute for a reg-ular flashlight, since it does not haveenough brightness.• LED light turns off when the tool hasnot been used for 5 minutes.Caution: DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM.Use of controls or adjustments orperformance of procedures other thanthose specified herein may result inhazardous radiation exposure.(2) Overheat warning lampTo protect the motor or battery, besure to note the following when car-rying out this operation.• If the motor or battery becomes hot,the protection function will be acti-vated and the motor or battery willstop operating. The overheat warn-ing lamp on the control panel illumi-nates or flashes when this feature isactive.• If the overheating protection featureactivates, allow the tool to cool tho-roughly (at least 30 minutes). Thetool is ready for use when the over-heat warning lamp goes out.• Avoid using the tool in a way thatcauses the overheating protectionfeature to activate repeatedly.• If the tool is operated continuouslyunder high-load conditions or if it isused in hot-temperature conditions(such as during summer), the over-heating protection feature may acti-vate frequently.• If the tool is used in cold-temperatureconditions (such as during winter) orif it is frequently stopped during use,the overheating protection featuremay not activate.• The performance of the EY9L42 de-teriorates significantly at and below10°C due to work conditions andother factors.(3) Battery low warning lampExcessive (complete) discharging oflithium ion batteries shortens theirservice life dramatically.
