- -[Battery Pack]For Appropriate Use ofBattery packLi-ion Battery pack• For optimum battery life, store theLi-ion battery pack following usewithout charging it.• When charging the battery pack,confirm that the terminals on thebattery charger are free of foreignsubstances such as dust and wateretc. Clean the terminals beforecharging the battery pack if any for-eign substances are found on theterminals.The life of the battery pack terminalsmay be affected by foreign sub-stances such as dust and water etc.during operation.• When battery pack is not in use,keep it away from other metal ob-jects like: paper clips, coins, keys,nails, screws, or other small metalobjects that can make a connectionfrom one terminal to another.Shorting the battery terminals to-gether may cause sparks, burns or afire.• When operating the battery pack,make sure the work place is wellventilated.• When the battery pack is removedfrom the main body of the tool, re-place the battery pack cover imme-diately in order to prevent dust or dirtfrom contaminating the battery ter-minals and causing a short circuit.Battery Pack LifeThe rechargeable batteries have alimited life. If the operation time be-comes extremely short after re-charging, replace the battery packwith a new one.Battery RecyclingATTENTION:For environmental protection andrecycling of materials, be sure thatit is disposed of at an officially as-signed location, if there is one inyour country.[Battery Charger]ChargingCautions• If the temperature of the battery packfalls approximately below í10°C(14°F), charging will automaticallystop to prevent degradation of thebattery.• The ambient temperature range isbetween 0°C (32°F) and 40°C (104°F).If the battery pack is used when thebattery temperature is below 0°C (32°F),the tool may fail to function properly.• When charging a cool battery pack(below 0°C (32°F)) in a warm place,leave the battery pack at the placeand wait for more than one hour towarm up the battery to the level ofthe ambient temperature.• Cool down the charger when charg-ing more than two battery packsconsecutively.• Do not insert your fingers into con-tact hole, when holding charger orany other occasions.To prevent the risk of fire or damage tothe battery charger.• Do not use power source from an en-gine generator.• Do not cover vent holes on the chargerand the battery pack.• Unplug the charger when not in use.
