- -IV. OPERATION[Main Body]Switch Operation1. The speed increases with theamount of depression of the trigger.When beginning work, depress thetrigger slightly to start the rotationslowly.2. A feedback electronic controller isused to give a strong torque even inlow speed.3. The brake operates when the trig-ger is released and the motor stopsimmediately.NOTE:• When the brake operates, a brakingsound may be heard. This is normal.• Sparks from the motor brush may bevisible through the body vent holeson the back of the tool duringswitching and braking due to theload imposed on the motor. Thisdoes not indicate a problem with thetool.Switch and Forward/ReverseLever OperationForward ReverseSwitch lockCAUTION:To prevent damage, do not operateForward/Reverse lever until the bitcomes to a complete stop.Forward Rotation Switch Op-eration1. Push the lever for forward rotation.2. Depress the trigger switch slightlyto start the tool slowly.3. The speed increases with theamount of depression of the triggerfor efficient tightening of screwsand drilling. The brake operatesand the chuck stops immediatelywhen the trigger is released.4. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Reverse Rotation Switch Op-eration1. Push the lever for reverse rotation.Check the direction of rotation be-fore use.2. Depress the trigger switch slightlyto start the tool slowly.3. After use, set the lever to its centerposition (switch lock).Clutch Torque SettingAdjust the torque to one of the 18clutch settings or " " position(EY7442, EY7450).Adjust the torque to one of the 18clutch settings or " ", " " position(EY7950).NOTE:Always make sure to stop opera-tion of the tool and disengage itfrom the work, when you selectHammering mode from Drillingmode or when you shift to Drillingmode from Hammering mode byrotating clutch handle.
