5-65.2 Wiring of Power Supply5.2.1 Wiring of Power SupplyPower supply wiring for the unitUse the power supply cable (Part number: AFPG805) that comes with the unit to connect the powersupply.Brown: 24 V DCBlue: 0 VGreen: Function earthPower supply wireTo minimize adverse effects from noise, twist the brown and blue wires of the power supply cable.Power supply type- To protect the system against erroneous voltage from the power supply line, use an insulated powersupply with an internal protective circuit.- The regulator on the unit is a non-insulated type.- If using a power supply device without an internal protective circuit, always make sure power issupplied to the unit through a protective element such as a fuse.Power supply voltageRated voltage 24V DCOperating voltage range 21.6V DC to 26.4V DCWiring system- Isolate the wiring systems to the control unit, input/output devices, and mechanical power apparatus.Measures regarding power supply sequence- The power supply sequence should be set up so that power to the control unit is turned off before theinput/output power supplies.- If the input/output power supplies are turned off before the power to the control unit, the unit will detectthe input fluctuations and may begin an unscheduled operation.- Be sure to supply power to the control unit and an expansion unit from the same power supply, and turnthe power on and off simultaneously for both.
