7.3.1 External Testing Setup ProcedureIMPORTANT NOTE:To allow accurate measurement of the complete unit the test equipment must be connected as sigure 5).The PCB Test Setup must be used to enable repair to PCBs. Once repair/replacement is completassembledunit must be tested and calibrated with the jigs and tools connected as shown in figure 5.Full Test Equipment RequirementsFor testing the handheld unit the following equipment is required:1. Interface box2. 12V power supply3. Personal computer (IBM compatible) with RS232 interface4. RS232 interface cable (9 pin straight through connection)5. GSM test stationFigure 5 shows a typical setup for testing the G600 unit. The channel box software (suppliedppy disk) shouldbe installed onto the main drive of the personal computer.The RF cable is connected to the GSM test station via a suitable adapter.
