7.7 SIM Personalisation7.7.1 IntroductionSIM personalisation will limit the use of G600 to a single SIM, a SIM supplied by one Networetwork/ServiceProvider or a SIM purchased by a company (corporation). If a personalised G600 contains a SIis from adifferent source it will display the message “SIM ERROR” when switched on. This personalisatG600 issometimes referred to as SIM lock or SIM latch.7.7.2 TestingTo test a personalised G600, when the user has not supplied the SIM, a SIM configured for teoses (e.g. testSIM or soft SIM) should be used. The mobile will recognise that the SIM is for testing purpoy and operate asnormal.7.7.3 Personalisation FunctionPersonalisation is activated during manufacture and then enabled at a later stage. Enabling/ng is availableby entering a special key sequence immediately after power on. Once the enable/disable menun it ispossible to select the type of personalisation. When personalisation is enabled it is only pto disable it if themobile contains an illegal SIM and the sixteen digit Control Key (CK) is known.
