Operating Instructions83Update FirmwareUpdate Firmware window allows the user to install the latest version of theNetwork Camera internal operating system. In most cases, this will never benecessary. The present firmware has undergone extensive testing and was foundto be very reliable. Changes may be necessary to accommodate new operatingsystems or new web browsers that are not shown on Page 10. In those cases,Update Firmware would be available from Network Camera Technical SupportSite at http://www.kmelink.net/ipproducts/ww/. Please check the currentfirmware version on the Setup Page on Page 48.Notes• Do not turn off the power during Update Firmware. If the operation ofUpdate Firmware is stopped, please refer to Section5.4 Troubleshooting.• Buffered Images are erased when performing Update Firmware.1. Download the proper firmware from the Network Camera Technical SupportSite mentioned above.2. If the Network Camera is accessible from the Internet, temporarily disable theaccess and connect the Network Camera to the PC as the following figure.This will eliminate any interruption during the Update Firmware.NoteWhen the Network Camera uses the DHCP function, please change theInternet connection from DHCP to Static in Network window. Please referto Page 52 for the network parameters.3.
