1.7.3 Making a Conference Group CallYou can call multiple parties, assigned as members of a group (conference group), and establish a multipleparty conversation with the called parties. You can make a conference group call to both extensions and outsidelines (including analogue lines). The following two modes are available:• Conference Mode: the called parties can join the conversation automatically. ( Conference Mode)• Broadcast Mode: the called parties can hear the caller’s voice announcement, and then be allowed tojoin the conversation by the caller. ( Broadcast Mode)• If you dial a conference group number that is in use for another conversation, you will heara busy tone and cannot establish a multiple party conversation.• If you fail to seize idle outside lines necessary for all members assigned in the conferencegroup, you will hear a reorder tone and cannot make a conference group call.• When making a conference group call to an outside party, the CLIP number for that call willbe the one you select for making calls to an outside line.
