OperationUser Manual 732.4.4 Answering a Call Waiting— Answering a call waiting in the system— Answering a call waiting from the central officeAnswering a call waiting in the systemDuring a conversation, a call waiting tone or voice announcement through the telephone speaker orthe handset occurs when an outside call is received or another extension is letting you know anothercall is waiting. You can answer the second call by disconnecting the current call or placing it on hold.To talk to the new party• By default, this feature is not available. To activate this feature, set to each desired mode(1. BSS, 2. OHCA, 3. Whisper OHCA). Please refer to "2.7.3 Receiving a Call Waiting(Call Waiting/Off-Hook Call Announcement [OHCA]/Whisper OHCA)" for furtherinformation.• Depending on the type of your telephone, the "Off-Hook Call Announcement [OHCA]" orthe "Whisper OHCA" functions can be applied. You can talk to the other party through thespeaker and the microphone (OHCA) or you only receive a call announcement through thehandset (Whisper OHCA), while you are having another conversation using the handset.Please refer to "Sending a call waiting tone (Busy Station Signalling [BSS])" in "2.2.4When the Dialled Line is Busy or There is No Answer" for further information.• The calling extension's name or number is displayed for 5 seconds in 10 seconds intervalsbefore answering a call.Press HOLD orswitchhook and dial 50.ORPress CO / INTERCOM / PDN / SDN or goon-hook and then off-hook.While hearing a toneDisregard this step if both parties are extensions.Disregard this step if youterminate the current call.PT / SLTHOLD05 OROR OROR INTERCOM(CO) (PDN) (SDN)
