Consult yourPBX supplier for the correct setting.Line modeThe line mode is preset to “B” andgenerally should not be adjusted. If “Linein use” on the handset is not displayedproperly, the line mode selection isincorrect. Set line mode to “A”.1 Press {MENU}.2 Scroll to “Initial setting” bypressing {V} or {^}, then press {>}.3 Scroll to “Set tel line” by pressing{V} or {^}, then press {>}.4 Scroll to “Set line mode” by pressing{V} or {^}, then press {>}.5 Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to selectthe desired setting.6 Press {Save}, then press {OFF}.Other optionsDial lockThis feature prohibits making outside calls.The default setting is OFF.Important:L When dial lock is turned on, onlyphone numbers stored in thephonebook as emergency numbers(numbers stored with a # at thebeginning of the name) can be dialedusing the phonebook (page 22). Werecommend storing emergencynumbers in the phonebook beforeusing this feature.L When dial lock is turned on, you cannotstore, edit, or erase items in thephonebook.To turn dial lock on1 Press {MENU}.2 Scroll to “Dial lock” by pressing {V}or {^}, then press {>}.3 Enter a 4-digit password.L This password is required whenturning dial lock off.
