Preparation6Important informationGeneralL Use only the AC adaptor included with thisproduct, noted on side 4.L Do not connect the AC adaptor to any ACoutlet other than a standard 220–240 V ACoutlet.L This product is unable to make calls when:– the portable handset battery(ies) needrecharging or have failed.– there is a power failure.L Do not open the base unit, charger, or handsetother than to replace the battery(ies).L This product should not be used nearemergency/intensive care medical equipmentand should not be used by people withpacemakers.L Care should be taken that objects do not fallonto, and liquids are not spilled into, the unit.Do not subject this product to excessivesmoke, dust, mechanical vibration or shock.EnvironmentL Do not use this product near water.L This product should be kept away from heatsources such as radiators, cookers, etc. Itshould also not be placed in rooms where thetemperature is less than 5 °C or greater than40 °C.L The AC adaptor is used as the maindisconnect device.
