Answering System36Remote operationUsing a touch-tone phone, you can callyour phone number from outside andaccess the unit to listen to messages orchange answering system settings. Theunit’s voice guidance prompts you topress certain dial keys to performdifferent operations.Remote access codeA 3-digit remote access code must beentered when operating the answeringsystem remotely. This code preventsunauthorized parties from listening toyour messages remotely. The defaultsetting is “111”.1 {MENU} i {#}{3}{0}{6}2 Enter the desired 3-digit remoteaccess code. i {Save} i{OFF}Using the answering systemremotely1 Dial your phone number from atouch-tone phone.2 After the greeting message starts,enter your remote access code.L The unit plays back newmessages.3 Follow the voice guidance promptsas necessary or control the unitusing remote commands (page 36).4 When finished, hang up.Voice guidanceDuring remote operation, the unit’s voiceguidance starts and prompts you topress {1} to perform a specificoperation, or press {2} to listen to moreavailable operations.
