Subscriber’s Manual122.3 Changing or DeletingYour PersonalGreeting MessagesAfter callers reach your mailbox, they willhear your personal greeting message.You can record 4 kinds of PersonalGreetings; the appropriate greeting willbe played for callers. If you delete or donot record a greeting message, aprerecorded greeting message will beused.a) No Answer Greeting:Heard by callers when you do notanswer their calls. A commonexample might be, "This is (name). Ican't take your call right now…".b) Busy Signal Greeting:Heard by callers when you are onanother call. A common examplemight be, "This is (name). I'm onanother call right now…".c) After Hours Greeting:Heard by callers when the VPS is innight mode. A common examplemight be, "This is (name). I've gonehome for the day…".d) Temporary Greeting:A special greeting that, if recorded, isheard by callers instead of the othergreetings. A common example mightbe, " This is (name). I'm out of theoffice this week…".Follow the steps below to record or deleteyour Personal Greeting Messages.1. Log in to your mailbox.• See 2.1 Logging in to YourMailbox if necessary.2.3. Select the desired greeting.No Answer Greeting.Busy Signal Greeting.After Hours Greeting.Caller ID Greeting (may notbe available; see 5.10 PersonalGreeting for Caller ID).Temporary Greeting.4. Follow the prompts as necessary.to change the greeting.to delete the selectedgreeting.• The greeting will be deleted; goon-hook to finish.5. Record your greeting message,after the tone.• We recommend stating yourname in your greetingmessages, so that callers willknow they have reached thecorrect mailbox.• The maximum length of eachgreeting message is 1 minuteby default.6. to end recording.7.
