• You cannot use a contact list whose versionis older than 1.03 (not including 1.03). Theversion of the contact list is displayed in the field of the downloadedcontact list data. If the version of the contactlist is older than 1.03, update the softwareof the unit to update the version of thecontact list to 1.03, and then download thecontact list.9. Click [Browse…] for [Select a file to upload:] under[Data Upload To Main Unit] ® [Upload contactlist] on the System Operation screen, then navigateto the edited data.10. Click [upload] under [Data Upload To Main Unit]® [Upload contact list] on the System Operationscreen.• The data is uploaded to the unit and [file uploadsuccess] is displayed on the Web browser.• If [upload file commit error] is displayed on theWeb browser, the uploaded data may containan error. Refer to the error message and correctthe error.Or, you may be trying to upload a contact listwhose version is older than 1.03. Check the field in the contact list datathat you are trying to upload. If the version of thesoftware is not 1.03, contact your dealer.11. Turn the power off and back on to restart the unit.Note• Make sure you do not access any Web siteswhile performing settings on the SystemOperation screen.• Make sure to close the browser after finishingperforming settings.6.5.4 Entering the Device NameWhen entering data apart from that which can beentered using the remote control, follow the procedurebelow.1. Perform steps 1–7 in "Starting and Operating aTerminal Emulator" (Page 37).2. Enter "devinfo set name XXXX", then press [Enter].• For XXXX, enter a device name.• The following number of characters can bedisplayed on the screen:– When using Alphabet: Up to 24 characters– When using Kanji (Chinese characters): Upto 18 characters• Make sure to set the terminal emulator to useUTF-8 encoding. If UTF-8 is not set, the enteredinformation may not be recognised and theinitial screen will be displayed after restart.• If undisplayable characters are set, they will notbe displayed on the screen.3.
