Recording Modes118Recording motion pictures with manually setaperture value/shutter speed (Creative Video Mode)Recording Mode:It is possible to manually change the aperture and shutter speed and record motionpictures.1 Set the mode dial to [ ].2 Select the menu.3 Press 3/4 to select [P], [A], [S] or [M], and then press [MENU/SET].• The operation for changing the aperture value or shutter speed is the same as theoperation for setting the mode dial to , , or .4 Start recording.• Press the motion picture button or the shutter button to start recording a motion picture.(Still pictures cannot be taken.)5 Stop recording.• Press the motion picture button or the shutter button to stop recording a motion picture.• Aperture value– Set the aperture value to a higher number when you want a sharp focus background. Set theaperture value to a lower number when you want a soft focus background.• Shutter speed– When you want to take a sharp picture of a fast moving subject, set with a faster shutterspeed. When you want to create a trail effect, set to a slower shutter speed.– Manually setting a higher shutter speed may increase the noise on-screen due to the highersensitivity.– When subjects are recorded in an extremely bright place or under fluorescent/LED lighting,the color tone or brightness of the image may change, or horizontal stripes may appear onthe screen. In that case, change the Recording Mode or manually adjust the shutter speed to1/60 or 1/100.• When [Exposure Mode] is set to [M], [AUTO] of the ISO sensitivity will switch to [125].> [Motion Picture] > [Exposure Mode]MENU
