Others95VQT0P65Cautions for Use∫ Optimal Use of the CameraWhen carrying the camera, take care notto drop or cause impact to it.• The lens or the outer case may bedestroyed by the strong shock, and itcauses a malfunction of the camera.Keep the camera away from magnetizedequipment (such as a microwave oven,TV, video game equipment, etc.).• If you use the camera on or near a TV,pictures and sounds may be disrupteddue to electromagnetic wave radiation.• Do not use the camera near a cell phonebecause doing so may cause noise toadversely affect the pictures and sounds.• Recorded data may be damaged, orpictures may be distorted by strongmagnetic fields created by speakers orlarge motors.• Electromagnetic wave radiation generatedby a microprocessor may adversely affectthe camera, causing the disturbance ofpictures and sounds.• If the camera is affected by magneticallycharged equipment and does not functionproperly, turn the camera off and removethe batteries or disconnect AC adaptor(DMW-AC1; optional) and then insert thebatteries or connect AC adaptor again.Thereafter, turn the camera on.Do not use the camera near radiotransmitters or high-voltage lines.• If you record near radio transmitters orhigh-voltage lines, recorded pictures orsounds may be adversely affected.Make sure to use the supplied cords andcables. If you use optional accessories,use the cords and the cables suppliedwith them.Do not extend the cords and the cables.Do not spray insecticides or volatilechemicals onto the camera.• If the camera is sprayed with suchchemicals, the camera body may bedamaged and the surface finish may peeloff.• Do not keep rubber or plastic products incontact with the camera for a long periodof time.Do not use benzine, thinner or alcoholfor cleaning the camera.• When cleaning the camera, remove thebatteries or disconnect the AC adaptor(DMW-AC1; optional) from the electricaloutlet.• The camera body may be deformed andthe surface finish may peel off.• Wipe the camera with a soft, dry cloth. Toremove stubborn stains, wipe with a cloththat is soaked in a detergent diluted withwater and afterward finish wiping with adry cloth.• If you use a chemical cloth, follow theinstructions that come with the cloth.• In case rain or other sources of watersplash onto the camera, wet a soft clothwith tap water, wring it well, and use it towipe the camera body carefully. Thenwipe it again with a dry cloth.
