VQT1Z82 65Taking pictures with the face recognitionfunctionMode:Face Recognition functionSet ‘FACE RECOG.’ in the REC menu to ‘ON’ to use the following face recognitionfunctions when taking pictures.Detect faces close to those that have been registered for priorityfocus and exposure adjustment.Set names for registered faces, which will then be displayedwhen the camera recognizes a registered face.Set ‘AUTO REGISTRATION’ to ‘ON’ to have the cameraremember the faces it recognizes, automatically detect facesthat appear frequently, and display these faces on the faceregistration screen.Names can be displayed during playback, and only pictures featuringcertain names can be displayed with ‘CATEGORY PLAY’ (P.88).Face registrationUp to 6 faces can be registered with information such as names and birthdays. Thisallows for easier recognition of people who frequently appear in your pictures.Registering from REC menuSelect ‘FACE RECOG.’ fromthe REC menu (P.18)Select ‘SET’ with ▲▼, andpress ‘MENU/SET’Select ‘MEMORY’ with ▲▼,and press ‘MENU/SET’• A list will be displayed if 6 peoplehave already been registered.Select a person to be replaced.
