Havingthis data included in the recording gives every singie pictureon the tape its own address.•TTte Time Code is automatically recorded as part of the subcode with every recording you make.•When you insert a new (previously unrecorded) cassette,the Time Code automatically starts from zero. If you Insert arecorded cassette, the Time Code continues where the timecode of the last previous scene stopped. (In this case, thezero indication [OhOOmOOsOOf] may appear after Insertingthe cassette, but when the recording starts, the Time Coderecords from the previous value.)•You cannot reset the Time Code to zero.• In playback modes other than the Normal Playback Mode,the Time Code may not be displayed (or not be correct).•Unless the Time Code is recorded continuously from thebeginning of the tape, precise editing may not be possible.To ensure that the Time Code is recorded withoutinterruption, we recommend that you use the CameraSearch Function 70) or Blank Search Function (•♦ 72)before starting to record a new scene.■ Memory Stop FunctionThe Memory Stop Function is convenient for the followingoperations.Rewinding or feat-forwarding the tape to a desiredpositionSet IC.DISPLAY] on the [DISPLAY SETUP]Sub-Menu to [MEMORY].Reset the Tape Counter to zero at the tapeposition from which you want to play backlater. (-♦ 34,122)Start playback or recording.After playback or recording Is finished:Press the [MODE] Button until the [VCR] Lamplights.Rewind the tape.The tape automatically stops approximately at theposition at which you reset the counter to zero.Stopping the editing automatically In audiodubbing1 Set [C.DISPLAY] on the [DISPLAY SETUP]Sub-Menu to [MEMORY],2 Reset the Tape Counter to zero at the tapeposition at which you want the editing to stop.3 Play back a still picture at the point at whichyou want the audio dubbing to start.4 Start the audio dubbing.
