Before Use-10-ª Using the BatteryBefore use, fully charge the Battery.≥We recommend using Panasonic’s Battery.≥We cannot guarantee the quality of this MovieCamera when batteries of other companies areused.1 Attach the Battery to the AC Adaptor andcharge it.≥Since the Battery will not be charged whenthe DC Input Lead is connected to the ACAdaptor, disconnect it from the AC Adaptor.≥The [POWER] Lamp and [CHARGE] Lamplights up, and charging starts.≥When the [CHARGE] Lamp goes off,charging is completed.≥When charging the overdischarged battery,the [CHARGE] lamp blinks at first, but thebattery is charged normally. When thetemperature of the battery is too high or low,the [CHARGE] lamp blinks and the chargingtime becomes longer than usual.2 Attach the charged Battery to the MovieCamera.To Remove the BatterySet the [OFF/ON] Switch (43) to [OFF], and whilesliding the [BATTERY RELEASE] Lever (49),slide the Battery to remove it.≥When attaching or removing Battery, set the[OFF/ON] Switch to [OFF] and make sure the[POWER] Lamp is not lit.(49)(43)ª Using the Car Battery Charger(optional)If you use the Car Battery Charger (VW-KBD2E;optional), you can supply power to the MovieCamera and charge the battery inside your car.For further information, refer to the instructionmanual of the Car Battery Charger.≥Be sure to start the car engine before youconnect the Car Adaptor Cord, otherwise thefuse may blow.≥For other notes concerning this item, see -47-.Charging Time and AvailableRecording TimeA Charging TimeB Maximum Continuous Recording TimeC Intermittent Recording Time(Intermittent Recording Time is the availablerecording time with repeated recording andstopping actions.)“1h10min.” indicates 1 hour and 10 minutes.≥Battery CGR-D08R is supplied.≥The times shown in the table are approximatetimes. The numbers indicate the recording timewhen the Viewfinder is used. The numbers inparentheses indicate the recording time whenthe LCD Monitor is used. In actual use, theavailable recording time may be shorter.≥The times shown in the table are for continuousrecording at a temperature of 25oC and humidityof 60%.
