Playback Mode-33-≥If the Movie Camera is left in the Still PlaybackMode for more than 6 minutes, the MovieCamera switches to the Stop Mode to protectthe video heads from excessive wear and tear.Index Search Functions(Remote Control only)To facilitate searching for desired scenes, thisMovie Camera automatically records indexsignals during recording, as explained in thefollowing.Photoshot Index SignalNV-GS11:These signals are automatically recordedwhenever still pictures are taken in PhotoshotMode. (-20-) Photoshot Index Signals are notrecorded on still pictures recorded in ContinuousPhotoshot Mode.NV-GS15:These signals are automatically recorded whenstill pictures on a card is recorded to a tape.Scene Index SignalScene Index Signals are automatically recordedwhen you start recording after inserting aCassette.≥If [SCENE INDEX] of [RECORDING] Sub-Menuon the [TAPE RECORDING MENU] is set to[2HOUR], an index signal is recorded whenrecording is restarted after an elapse of 2 hoursor longer. If it is set to [DAY], an index signal isrecorded when recording is restarted after thedate has changed since the last recording.(While the index signal is being recorded, the[INDEX] Indication flashes for a few seconds.)≥If the Movie Camera is switched from the TapePlayback Mode to Tape Recording Mode or ifthe date and time is set before the start ofrecording, the index signal is not recorded.ª Photoshot Index Search1 Set [TAPE PLAYBACK MENU] >>[PLAYBACK] >> [SEARCH] >> [PHOTO].INDEX(20)2 Press the [9] Button or [:] Button (59)on the Remote Controller.≥With each press of the corresponding button,still pictures recorded in Photoshot Mode aresearched.≥Sounds are played back for approximately4 seconds.ª Scene Index Search1 Set [TAPE PLAYBACK MENU] >>[PLAYBACK] >> [SEARCH] >> [SCENE].2 Press the [9] Button or [:] Button (59)on the Remote Controller.≥When the corresponding button is pressedonce, the [S 1] Indication appears, andsearching for the subsequent scene markedwith an index signal starts.
