Before Use-9-ª Using the Remote Controller1 Direct the Remote Controller at the RemoteControl Sensor (31) of the Movie Cameraand press an appropriate button.≥Distance from the Movie Camera: Withinapproximately 5 metres≥Angle: Within approximately 15o in thevertical and horizontal directions from thecentral axis≥The above operating ranges are for indoor use.Outdoors or under strong light, the MovieCamera may not operate properly even withinthe above ranges.Selecting Remote Controller ModesWhen 2 Movie Cameras are usedsimultaneously, they can be operated individuallyby selecting different Remote Controller Modes.≥If the Remote Controller Mode of the MovieCamera and that of the Remote Controller donot match, [REMOTE] Indication is displayed.Setup on the Movie Camera:Set [REMOTE] on the [INITIAL] Sub-Menu to thedesired Remote Controller Mode. ZOOM2 1Power Supplyª Using the AC Adaptor1 Connect the DC Input Lead to the[DC/C.C.IN] Socket on the Movie Camera.2 Connect the DC Input Lead to the ACAdaptor.3 Connect the AC Mains Lead to the ACAdaptor and the AC mains socket.≥The AC Mains Lead’s outlet plug does not fitentirely into the AC Adaptor socket. A gap willremain as shown 1.≥Before connecting or disconnecting thepower supply, set the [OFF/ON] Switch onthe Movie Camera to [OFF] and make surethat Power Lamp is not lit.ª Using the BatteryBefore use, fully charge the Battery.≥We recommend using Panasonic’s Battery.≥We cannot guarantee the quality of this MovieCamera when batteries of other companies areused.1 Attach the Battery to the AC Adaptor andcharge it.≥Since the Battery will not be charged whenthe DC Input Lead is connected to the ACAdaptor, disconnect it from the AC Adaptor.≥The [POWER] Lamp and [CHARGE] Lamplights up, and charging starts.≥When the [CHARGE] Lamp goes off,charging is completed.1123
