Others-103-ª Lock Setting (NV-GS15 only)≥The Lock Setting carried out by this MovieCamera is only effective for this Movie Camera.≥The SD Memory Card has a write protectionswitch on it. If the switch is moved to the [LOCK]side, you cannot write to or format the Card. If itis moved back, you can.ª Playing Back on Your TV≥Depending on your TV, nothing may be showneven if you correctly connect the movie camerawith your TV. In this case, set [AV JACK] on the[AV IN/OUT] or [INITIAL] Sub-Menu to [OUT].≥If you set [AV JACK] on the [AV IN/OUT]Sub-Menu to [IN/OUT], nothing will be shownon the TV screen except during playback.≥Picture size may be displayed differently whenplaying back a Cinema picture on a wide-screenTV with Playback Digital Effect.ª Recording Pictures from a Card onto aTape (NV-GS15 only)≥When recording the Card Image on a Tape, itssize is transformed into 720k576 according tothe DV format.≥If you attempt to record a still picture with alarge image size on a Tape, there may be areduction in the quality of the image.ª Audio Dubbing≥The blank section of a tape cannot be dubbed.≥Sounds sent through the DV Terminal cannotbe dubbed.≥If a tape has a non-recorded portion when thetape is dubbed, images and sounds may bedisturbed when this portion of the tape is playedback.≥If you set the tape counter back to 0 at theposition where you want to stop Audio Dubbingso as to make it possible to use the MemoryStop Function (-110-), Audio Dubbing isterminated automatically when the tape reachesthis position.≥In the case of importing data recorded withAudio Dubbing to a PC using the PC’s software,only the original sound (ST1) may be imported,depending on the software.ª Recording the Contents of OtherEquipmentRecording to a Card (NV-GS15 only)If you set the Mode Dial to Card Recording Mode,you can use the Photoshot function for externalinput signals.≥Black streaks may appear at the 4 edges of theimage.Analog-Digital Conversion≥When the Movie Camera is connected withother digital video equipment through its DVTerminal, images recorded in analog form fromother external equipment can be output to thedigital video equipment through the DVTerminal.≥To DV-output analog video signals sent fromother equipment, set [DV OUT] on the[AV IN/OUT] Sub-Menu to [ON]. (Normally,keep the [DV OUT] set to [OFF]. If it is set to[ON], the quality of the image may bedisturbed.)ª Using the DV Cable for Recording(Digital Dubbing)≥Regardless of the setting, digital dubbing iscarried out automatically in the same audiorecording mode as that of the playbackCassette.≥The images on the recorded monitor may bedisturbed, but it does not affect the recordedimages.≥Even if Playback Digital Effects, PlaybackZoom, or Playback Title In have been used,these effects are not output from the DVTerminal.≥Even if you use device equipped with DVTerminals (such as IEEE1394), you may not beable to perform Digital Dubbing in some cases.≥Date or other information to be displayed cannotbe displayed if the software of the connectedequipment does not support the displayfunction.Cautions for Useª After Use1 Take out the Cassette. (Irreparable failuremay occur.)≥If sea water splashes onto the Movie Camera,wet a soft cloth with tap water, wring it well, anduse it to wipe the camera body carefully. Then,wipe it again thoroughly with a soft dry cloth.
