Before Use11≥Attach the other end of the Shoulder Strap tothe other Shoulder Strap Holder in the sameway.Inserting a Cassette1 Slide the [OPEN/EJECT] Lever (41) towardthe front and pull down to open theCassette Compartment Cover.2 Insert a Cassette.3 Close the Cassette Holder by pressing the[PUSH] mark 1.4 Close the Cassette Compartment Cover.ª Accidental Erasure PreventionOpening the accidental erasure prevention slider1 on the cassette (by sliding it to the [SAVE]arrow direction) prevents recording. To enablerecording, close the accidental erasureprevention slider (by sliding it to the [REC] arrowdirection).≥For other notes concerning this item, see -54-.1OPEN/EJECT(41)PUSH1R E CSAVE1Using a CardA Card can be used to record pictures.ª Caution before inserting/removing aCardBe sure to turn off the Movie Camera.≥Otherwise, the Movie Camera may not functionproperly or it may cause the loss of recordeddata in a Card.ª Inserting a Card1 Slide the [OPEN] Lever (6) to open the CardSlot Cover (4).2 While holding the Memory Card with its cutcorner on top 1, insert it into the Card Slot.3 Close the Card Slot Cover (4) securely.Removing the CardOpen the Card Slot Cover and then pull the Cardstraight out.≥After removing the Card, close the Card SlotCover.ª [ACCESS] Lamp (11)While the Movie Camera is accessing the Card(reading, recording, playback or erasing), the[ACCESS] Lamp lights up.≥While the [ACCESS] Lamp is on, never attemptto open the Card Slot Cover, to pull out theCard, to turn off the Movie Camera. Suchactions will damage the Card, and recordeddata, and cause the Movie Camera tomalfunction.≥It may take time to record pictures if you useMultiMediaCard. (The [ACCESS] Lamp keepsturning on.
