36-ENGLISH ENGLISH -37 Basic OperationProjecting sRGB-compatible picturessRGB is an international colorreproduction standard (IEC61966-2-1) established by the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC).If you would like the colours insRGB-compatible pictures to bereproduced more faithfully, makethe following settings.# Press the F or G button toselect “PICTURE MODE”, andthen use the I or H button toselect “NATURAL”.$ Press the NORMAL button onthe remote control unit.% Select the LAMP POWER itemin the OPTION menu bypressing the F or G buttonsand set to “HIGH” by pressingthe I or H buttons.NOTE:B sRGB is only enabled when RGBsignals are being input .When adjusting the black or neutralcolor area of the picture, adjust itusing BRIGHT R or BRIGHT B.WHITE BALANCE R/G/B(PC only)This is used to adjust the whiteareas of the picture if they appearcolourised.Press the I button to make theselected color lighter.Press the H button to make theselected color stronger.SIGNAL MODE(PC/DVI/YPBPR only)This displays the type of signalwhich is currently being projected.Refer to the table on page 61 fordetails on each type of signal.GAMMA ADJUST(PT-AE300U only)Press the ENTER button to displaythe GAMMA ADJUST menu.WHITE LEVELSThis is used for correcting thegradation of a bright projectedimage. To correct a white jump inthe picture, press the I buttons. Toraise the contrast ratio, press the Hbuttons.BLACK LEVELSThis is used for correcting gradationof a dark projected image.To correct black crushing, press theH buttons. To raise the contrastratio, press the I buttons.MEMORY SAVEPress the ENTER button to displaythe MEMORY SAVE menu.Up to 3 settings can be saved in thePICTURE menu.Select the number in which youwish to save the setting by pressingthe F or G buttons and then pressthe ENTER button.The confirmation screen will then bedisplayed. Select “OK” by pressingthe I or H buttons and press theENTER button.MEMORY LOADPress the ENTER button to displaythe MEMORY LOAD menu.(If any setting is not saved in theMEMORY SAVE menu, theMEMORY LOAD menu will not bedisplayed.)A setting saved in the MEMORYSAVE menu can be retrieved usingMEMORY LOAD.
