25VQT1D97Setup4 Connect the AC adaptor(supplied) A to this unit andthe AC outlet.1 Slide the terminal cover lock to OPENand then open the terminal cover.2 Connect the AC cable to the ACadaptor, then the AC outlet.3 Connect the AC adaptor to this unit’sDC input terminal.≥ The status indicator B startsblinking in red at intervals of about2 seconds to signal that charginghas commenced. Charging iscompleted when the lamp goes off.≥ The output plug of the AC cable isnot completely connected to theAC adaptor jack. As shown in C,there is a gap.≥ Do not use the AC cable with anyother equipment as it is designedonly for this unit. Do not use an ACcable from other equipment withthis unit.≥ Battery charging time (l 27)≥ We recommend using Panasonicbatteries. (VW-VBJ10)≥ If you use other batteries, we cannotguarantee the quality of this product.∫ About charging errorsWhen the status indicator flashesrapidly or slowly, one of the followingsituations may be to blame.When the status indicator flashes atintervals of about 6 seconds (on forabout 3 sec. and off for about 3 sec.):≥ The battery may have excessivelydischarged. It can be recharged but insome cases it may take several hoursuntil regular charging commences.≥ The battery temperature or theambient temperature may beextremely high or low and chargingmay take time.When the status indicator flashes atintervals of about 0.5 second (on forabout 0.25 sec. and off for about 0.25sec.):≥ The battery has not been recharged.Remove the battery from the unit, andtry charging it again.≥ The battery temperature or ambienttemperature may be extremely high orlow. Wait until the appropriatetemperature is restored beforecharging the battery again. If thebattery still fails to charge, somethingmay be wrong with the unit, battery, ACadaptor etc. Contact your dealer.1 B4.8V32AACCAUTIONDanger of explosion if battery isincorrectly replaced.
