English - 12 -Switching On/OffTo Switch the TV OnConnect the power cord to a power source such as awall socket (220-240V AC, 50 Hz). Switch the “ ”button on the TV(switch position may differ dependingon the model) to position “|” so the TV will switch intostandby mode. Then the standby LED lights up.To switch on the TV from standby mode either:• Press the Standby button, Programme +/- or anumeric button on the remote control.• Press the side function switch on the TV until the TVcomes on from standby.To Switch the TV OffPress the Standby button on the remote control orpress the side function switch on the TV until the TVswitches into standby mode.Switch the “ ” button on the TV to position 2 asillustrated - , so the TV will switch off., switch is used for turning the TV on or off.Note: The position of the power switch may differ dependingon the model.To power down the TV completely, unplug thepower cord from the mains socket.Note: When the TV is switched into standby mode, thestandby LED can blink to indicate that features such asStandby Search, Over Air Download or Timer is active. TheLED can also blink when you switch on the TV from standbymode.First Time InstallationWhen turned on for the first time, the languageselection screen is displayed. Select the desiredlanguage and press OK.On the next screen, set your preferences using thenavigation buttons.Note: Depending on the Country selection you may be askedto set and confirm a PIN at this point. The selected PIN cannotbe 0000. You have to enter it if you are asked to enter a PINfor any menu operation later.About Selecting Broadcast TypeAerial: If Aerial broadcast search option is turned on,the TV will search for digital terrestrial broadcasts afterother initial settings are completed.Cable: If Cable broadcast search option is turned on,the TV will search for digital cable broadcasts afterother initial settings are completed. According to yourother preferences a confirmation message may bedisplayed before starting to search. Select YES andpress OK to proceed. To cancel operation, select NOand press OK. You can select Network or set valuessuch as Frequency, Network ID and Search Step.When finished, press OK button.Note: Searching duration will change depending on theselected Search Step.Satellite: If Satellite broadcast search option isturned on, the TV will search for digital satellitebroadcasts after other initial settings are completed.Before satellite search is performed some settingsshould be made. Antenna Type menu will bedisplayed first. You can select Antenna Type asDirect, Unicable or DiSEqC switch by using “ ” or“ ” buttons.• Direct: If you have a single receiver and a directsatellite dish, select this antenna type. Press OK tocontinue. Select an available satellite on the nextscreen and press OK to scan for services.• Unicable: If you have multiple receivers and aunicable system, select this antenna type. PressOK to continue. Configure settings by followinginstructions on the next screen. Press OK to scanfor services.• DiSEqC switch: If you have multiple satellite dishesand a DiSEqC switch, select this antenna type.Press OK to continue. You can set four DiSEqCoptions (if available) on the next screen. Press OKbutton to scan the first satellite in the list.Analogue: If Analogue broadcast search option isturned on, the TV will search for analogue broadcastsafter other initial settings are completed.Additionally you can set a broadcast type as yourfavourite one. Priority will be given to the selectedbroadcast type during the search process. Whenfinished, press OK to continue.You can activate Store Mode option at this point. Thisoption will configure your TV’s settings for best displayquality. This option is intended only for store use. It isrecommended to select Home Mode for home use.This option will be available in Setup>More menu andcan be turned off/on later.Press OK button on the remote control to continue.After the initial settings are completed TV will startto search for available broadcasts of the selectedbroadcast types.
