Computer Interfacing26■ Scanning with the Board ImageCaptureBoard Image Capture allows you to scan hand-written text and diagrams on the Panaboard andsave the scanned image as a PDF file.1 Power on the Panaboard.2 Power on your computer and start Windows.3 Connect your computer and Panaboard withthe USB cable.• Board Image Capture automatically starts,then the Panaboard Operation Panelappears.Note• If the Panaboard Operation Panel does notappear, check the USB cable connection orthe status of the unit.4 Click the (Scan) button or the(2-Screen Scan) button.• When scanning is completed, the Save ScanImage dialog box appears.5 Specify the folder where you want to save thefile, enter the file name, then click [OK].• When the Launch Application check box ischecked, the scanned image will bedisplayed after the file is saved.To display the scanned image successfully,Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader must beinstalled on your computer.Note• The last 5 folders used are displayed in theSave Folder dropdown list.6 Click [Close] on the Panaboard OperationPanel window to end the session.Note• Board Image Capture cannot be started whilethe Panaboard Operation Panel is displayedusing Quick Image Navigator or Panasonic-DMS.To start Board Image Capture, click [Close] inthe Panaboard Operation Panel window, thenstart Board Image Capture.• To stop Board Image Capture from startingautomatically when the Panaboard is connected,follow the steps below:1) Connect your computer and Panaboard withthe USB cable.2) Click [Start], move the pointer to Settings–Control Panel, then double-click Scannersand Cameras.• For Windows XP, click [Start] and move thepointer to Control Panel.For Windows Vista, click [Start] and movethe pointer to Control Panel, then clickHardware and Sound.• For Windows 7, click [Start] and move thepointer to Device and Printers.3) Double-click Panaboard-UB5 USB DeviceDriver and check the Disable device eventscheck box in the Events tab.• For Windows 7, right-click Panaboard-UB5(A4/LT)* and then move the pointer to Scanproperties. If the “User Account Control”window is displayed, click [Yes].* A4 or LT (Letter) changes with the models.To start Board Image Capture, click [Start], thenmove the pointer to Programs–Panasonic–Board Image Capture–Board Image Capture.(For Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7,All Programs is displayed instead of Programs.)
