At the correct time, the TV will switch on and tune to the correct channel even if the TV is inStandby mode.TV Guide may also be used to set timer programming (p. 19) .This function is not available in Analogue mode. Timer Programming does not work properly if the TV does not acquire the correct time data from the TV signal. The TV must be either On or in standby for Ext Rec. of Timer Programming. No other channel can be selected while Ext Rec. of Timer Programming is in progress. It may not be possible to record an encrypted programme (which is copy-protected). When recording programmes, be sure to make the proper settings on the recorder connected to the TV. If a compatible recorder with Q-Link, VIERA Link or similar technologies is connected to the TV (p. 52 and p. 53)and the “Link Settings” (p. 28) are completed, no setting of the recorder is required. Also read the manual of therecorder.If the recorder is not compatible with Q-Link, VIERA Link or similar technologies make timer programming of the recorder.
