FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXTCAREFULLY.This appliance is supplied with a moulded three pin mains plug foryour safety and convenience.A 5 amp fuse is fitted in this plug.Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that the replace-ment fuse has a rating of 5 amp and that it is approved by ASTA orBSI to BS1362.Check for the ASTA mark H or the BSI mark G on the body of thefuse.If the plug contains a removable fuse cover you must ensure that itis refitted when the fuse is replaced.If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replace-ment cover is obtained.A replacement fuse cover can be purchased from your localPanasonic Dealer.IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THESOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THE FUSE SHOULDBE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OFSAFELY.THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THECUT OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO ANY 13 AMP SOCKET.If a new plug is to be fitted please observe the wiring code as shownbelow.If in any doubt please consult a qualified electrician.WARNING: This apparatus must be earthed.IMPORTANTThe wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the fol-lowing code.Green-and-yellow: EarthBlue: NeutralBrown: LiveAs the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliancemay not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the termi-nals in your plug, proceed as follows.The wire which is coloured green-and-yellow must be connect-ed to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or bythe earth symbol I or coloured green or green-and-yellow.The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the ter-minal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.The wire which is colouredbrown must be connected to the ter-minal in the plug which is markedwith the letter L or coloured red.How to replace the fuseOpen the fuse compartment witha screwdriver and replace the fuseand fuse cover.1. The following functions are built in.(1) Auto Light Control (ALC)/Electronic LightControl (ELC)(2) Automatic Gain Control (AGC) +15 dBand Automatic Tracing White Balance(ATW)(3) Camera synchronization mode selec-table between internal (INT), Line-locked(LL) and Multiplexed Vertical Drive (VD2)for WV-CP230 and WV-CP234.FEATURES2. Minimum illumination of 0.6 lx (0.06 foot-can-dle) at F0.75 (equivalent to 2.0 lx (0.2 foot-candle) at F1.4)3. Signal-to-noise ratio of 50 dB4. Horizontal resolution of 480 lines5. Auto iris lens control selectable betweenvideo signal and DC power supply.1. Do not attempt to disassemble the camera.To prevent electric shock, do not removescrews or covers.There are no user serviceable parts inside.Ask a qualified service person for servicing.2. Handle the camera with care.Do not abuse the camera. Avoid striking,shaking, etc. The camera could be damagedby improper handling or storage.3. Do not expose the camera to rain ormoisture, or try to operate it in wet areas.Turn the power off immediately and ask aqualified service person for servicing.Moisture can damage the camera and alsocreate the danger of electric shock.4. Do not use strong or abrasive detergentswhen cleaning the camera body.Use a dry cloth to clean the camera whendirty.In case the dirt is hard to remove, use a milddetergent and wipe gently.5. Clean the CCD faceplate with care.Do not clean the CCD with strong or abrasivedetergents. Use lens tissue or a cotton tippedapplicator and ethanol.6. Never face the camera towards the sun.Do not aim the camera at bright objects.Whether the camera is in use or not, neveraim it at the sun or other extremely brightobjects. Otherwise, blooming or smear maybe caused.7. Do not operate the camera beyond thespecified temperature, humidity or powersource ratings.Use the camera under conditions where tem-perature is between –10°C - +50°C (14°F -122°F), and humidity is below 90 %.
