• 12 V DC power supply terminalq Loosen the screw of the power cable plug (accesso-ry).w Connect the output cable to the power cable plug.Strip 3 mm to 7 mm {1/8 inches to 9/32 inches} fromthe end of the wire, and twist the stripped part of thewire sufficiently to avoid short circuit.Specification of cable (wire): 16 AWG - 24 AWG,Single core, twisted* Check whether the stripped part of the wire is notexposed and is securely connected.e Tighten the screw of the power cable plug.r Connect the power cable plug to the 12 V DC powersupply terminal on the rear of the camera.* FOR UL LISTED MODEL(S), ONLY CONNECT 12 VDC CLASS 2 POWER SUPPLY.IMPORTANT:• The 12 V DC power supply shall be insulated from thecommercial AC power.• Be sure to use the power cable plug provided withthis product.• Be sure to fully insert the power cable plug into the12 V DC power supply terminal. Otherwise, it maydamage the camera or cause malfunction.• Be sure to use an AC adaptor compliant with theSpecifications regarding power source and powerconsumption (☞ page 31).Power cable plug(accessory)− ++–Approx. 3 mm - 7 mm{1/8 inches - 9/32 inches}Strip rangeStep 9After completing the cable connections, attach the deco-rative cover (accessory).q Separate the provided decorative cover into 2 pieces.• Release the stoppers by pressing the decorativecover in the direction of the arrows on the sidedecorative cover.Release both stoppers.Hold securely anddisengage them.Hold securely anddisengage them.Rear view Release thestoppersIMPORTANT:• When pressing to the reverse direction, it may damagethe decorative cover.w Attach the decorative cover to the camera.• Position the pieces of the decorative cover that havebeen split in step 9 to tuck down the camera body,and then attach them together.Attach the decorative cover by aligning the directionof the Panasonic logo and the cut out parts.Push up the decorative cover as shown in theillustration.Hold one of 2 pieces securelyand engage them.PushPushRear view Attach thestoppersAlign the direction of the Panasonic logo and the cut out part.* If the directions are not aligned, the decorative cover make come off.19
