Prepare bolts and screws thatmatch the structure and materials of theinstallation location and satisfy the perfor-mance and reliability specifications shownbelow.Required screws: M4 (4 pcs.)Minimum pull-out strength: 196 N {44 lbf}(per 1 pc.) (when the camera is installed onthe ceiling or a wall using the attachmentplate (accessory) or the base bracket(accessory) SFV531 )Screw tightening• The screws and bolts must be tightenedwith an appropriate tightening torqueaccording to the material and strength ofthe installation area.• Do not use an impact driver. Use of animpact driver may damage the screws orcause tightening excessively.• When a screw is tightened, make thescrew at a right angle to the surface. Aftertightening the screws or bolts, performchecks to ensure that the tightening issufficient enough so that there is nomovement or looseness.SFV531Do not remove or loosen the screws onthe bottom of this product.If the screws (7 pcs.) are loosened, waterexposure may cause damage or malfunction ofthe product, or dropping may result in injury.Take notice of humidityInstall this product when the humidity is low. Ifthis product is installed during rainfall or at ahigh humidity, the inside may be exposed tomoisture and the dome cover may becomefoggy.Heater unitThis product is equipped with an internal heat-er unit for use in cold climates. The heater unitturns on automatically when the temperatureinside the product drops below around 0 °C{32 °F}. However, in an extremely low-temper-ature environment below –30 °C {–22 °F},snow and frost may not be defrosted from thedome cover. When using the product in coldclimates, take notice of the ambient and inter-nal temperatures of the product. When thisproduct is installed and operated in low tem-peratures below –10 °C {14 °F}, normal imagesmay not be obtained immediately after startup.In such a case, wait until the internal tempera-ture of the camera rises (for around 2 hours ormore in temperatures below –10 °C {14 °F}),turn the power off once, then turn it back onagain.
