These options are described in later sections of this chapter.Making Changes in Switchpack ModeWhen operating in Switchpack Mode, you can change configuration options bymoving switches on the board hardware.To enable Switchpack Mode, refer toSwitching Between Terminal andSwitchpack Modes in Chapter 3. ProcedureTo open the unit and make changes while in Switchpack Mode:1. Power down the unit and remove the enclosure cover, exposing the circuitboard. Use electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection when handling the circuitboard.2. Refer to the board layout illustration inSwitchpacks and Jumpers,Appendix C to locate switchpack S1.3. Place the switchpack in the correct position for each desired configurationoption. Definitions of switchpack positions are provided inSwitchpacks andJumpers, Appendix C.For example, to change a unit’s card type from CO to CP, move switch 1 onswitchpack S1 to the OFF position.4.
