144. PowerSensor™4. PowerSensor™How does it work?• PowerSensor works on principle oftransmission and reception of harmless“infrared” signals in order to detectuserpresence.• When the user is in front of the monitorthe monitor operates normally, at thepredetermined settings that the user has set -i.e. Brightness, Contrast, Color, etc.• Assuming that the monitor was set to 100%of brightness for example, when the userleaves his seat and is no longer in front of themonitor, the monitor automatically reducesthe power consumption up to 80%.User present in front User not presentttaW ttaWPower consumption as illustrated above is forreference purpose only.SettingDefault settingsPowerSensor is designed to detect the presence ofthe user located between 30 and 100 cm (12 and40 inches) from the display and within five degreesleft or right of the monitor.Custom settingsIf you prefer to be in a position outside theperimeters listed above, choose a higher strengthsignal for optimal detection efficiency: The higherthe setting, the stronger the detection signal. Formaximum PowerSensor efficiency and properdetection, please position yourself directly in frontof your monitor.• If you choose to position yourself more than100 cm or 40 inches from the monitor usethe maximum detection signal for distancesup to 120 cm or 47 inches. (Setting 4)• Since some dark colored clothing tends toabsorb infrared signals even when the useris within 100 cm or 40 inches of the display, step up signal strength when wearing black orother dark clothes.Hot key Sensor distanceLandscape/Portrait mode (for selective models)Landscape modePortrait modeAbove illustrations are for reference purpose only, may not reflect the exact display of this model. How to adjust settingsIf PowerSensor is not operating correctly inside oroutside the default range, here’s how to fine-tunedetection:• Customize the button to serve asPowerSensor hot key.
