English93 ConnectThis section helps you connect your Soundbarto a TV and other devices, and then set it up.For information about the basic connections ofyour Soundbar and accessories, see the quickstart guide.Note• For identification and supply ratings, see the type plateat the back or bottom of the product.• Before you make or change any connections, make surethat all devices are disconnected from the power outlet.Connect to HDMI (ARC) SocketYour Soundbar supports HDMI with AudioReturn Channel (ARC). If your TV is HDMI ARCcompliant, you can hear the TV audio throughyour Soundbar by using a single HDMI cable.HDMI (ARC)HDMI (ARC)1 Using a High Speed HDMI cable, connectthe HDMI OUT (ARC)-TO TV connectoron your Soundbar to the HDMI ARCconnector on the TV.• The HDMI ARC connector on the TVmight be labeled differently. For details,see the TV user manual.2 On your TV, turn on HDMI-CECoperations. For details, see the TV usermanual.Note• Your TV must support the HDMI-CEC and ARCfunction. HDMI-CEC and ARC must be set to On.• The setting method of HDMI-CEC and ARC may differdepending on the TV. For details about ARC function,please refer to your TV owner’s manual.• Only HDMI 1.4 compatible cables can support theARC function.Connect to Optical SocketOPTICAL OUTOPTICAL1 Using an optical cable, connect theOPTICAL connector on your Soundbar tothe OPTICAL OUT connector on the TVor other device.• The digital optical connector might belabeled SPDIF or SPDIF OUT.Connect to AUX Socket• Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable(included) to connect the TV’s headphonesocket to the AUX socket on the unit.HeadphoneAUX
