Make sure that:- the appliance is plugged in.- the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to thelocal mains voltage.- the appliance is switched on.In all other cases, contact the Philips Consumer Care Centre.Water leaks out of the appliance. Make sure that:- the water tank is not filled beyond the MAX level.In all other cases, contact the Philips Consumer Care Centre.The appliance takes a long time tobrew coffee.Descale the appliance (see chapter ‘Descaling’).The appliance produces a lot ofnoise and steam during thebrewing process.Make sure that:- the water tank is filled with COLD water.- the appliance is not blocked by scale. If necessary, descalethe appliance (see chapter ‘Descaling’).Coffee grounds end up in the jug. Make sure that:- the filter holder has not overflowed because there is toomuch ground coffee in the filter.- the filter holder has not overflowed because the jug hasnot been placed correctly under the filter holder.- the opening in the bottom of the filter holder is notclogged.- you use the right size of paper filter (1x2 or no. 2).- the paper filter is not torn.The coffee is too weak. Make sure that:- you use the right proportion of coffee to water.- the paper filter has not collapsed.- you use the right size of paper filter (1x2 or no. 2).The coffee does not taste good.
