1510 TroubleshootingThis chapter summarises the most commonproblems you could encounter with the appliance.If you are unable to solve the problem withthe information below, visit www.philips.com/support for a list of frequently asked questions orcontact the Consumer Care Centre in your country.The appliance does not work.• Put the mains plug in the wall socket and pressthe on/off button on the front of the applianceto switch on the appliance.• Make sure that the voltage indicated on theappliance corresponds to the local mains voltage.• Fill the water reservoir with water.• Close the lid of the coffee bean chute.When I use the grinder, the coffee is too weak.• Make sure the number of cups you select withthe 2-10 cups button is consistent with theamount of water in the water reservoir. Pleasekeep in mind that the coffeemaker uses all thewater in the water reservoir.• Use the strength select button to set the coffeestrength to ‘strong’.• When you use coffee beans, make sure youdo not press the pre-ground coffee button, asthis switches off the grinder.• Use coffee beans of a stronger blend or flavour.• Make sure the selected number of cups isconsistent with the amount of water in thewater reservoir.When I use pre-ground coffee, the coffee istoo weak.• Make sure the amount of pre-ground coffee inthe filter is consistent with the amount of water inthe water reservoir.
