C 2 Press on/off button I.The machine is ready for use when the indicator light is lit continuously.3 Place the 1-pod holder in the coffee machine, preferably with aused coffee pod in it. Close the lid and make sure it is properlylocked.We advise you to put a used coffee pod in the pod holder when youdescale the machine, as it will serve as a 'filter' to prevent the sieve inthe pod holder from getting clogged with scale residues.C 4 Put a bowl with a capacity of at least 1.5 liters/1.6 qt. underthe coffee outflow unit to collect the vinegar or the mixture ofdescaler and water.C 5 Press button °° and let the machine operate. Repeat thisuntil the water reservoir is empty.Never descale the Senseo coffee machine with the lid open. Makesure the lid is properly locked.6 Repeat steps 1 to 5 with new vinegar or a new mixture ofdescaler and water.7 Empty the water reservoir to remove the last vinegar ormixture of descaler and water. Repeat step 1 to 5 with freshwater only (i.s.o. vinegar or descaler) at least 3 times to fullyclean the machine.
