9 FrequentlyaskedquestionsMy Bluetooth earpieces do not turn on.The battery level is low. Charge theearpieces.I cannot pair my Bluetooth earpieceswith my Bluetooth device.The Bluetooth is disabled. Enable theBluetooth feature on your Bluetoothdevice and turn on the Bluetooth devicebefore you turn on the earpieces.Pairing does not work.• Put both earpieces into charging box.• Make sure you have disabled theBluetooth function of any previouslyconnected Bluetooth devices.• On your Bluetooth device, delete“Philips TAT2139” from the Bluetoothlist.• Pair your earpieces (see ‘Pair theearpieces with your Bluetooth devicefor the �rst time’ on page 7).The Bluetooth device cannot �nd theearpieces.• The earpieces may be connected to apreviously paired device. Turn off theconnected device or move it out ofrange.• Pairing may have been reset or theearpieces have been previously pairedwith another device. Pair theearpieces with the Bluetooth deviceagain as described in the user manual.(see ‘Pair the earpieces with yourBluetooth device for the �rst time’ onpage 7).My Bluetooth earpieces are connected toa Bluetooth stereo-enabled mobilephone, but music only plays on themobile phone speaker.Refer to the user manual of your mobilephone. Select to listen to music throughthe earpieces.The audio quality is poor and a cracklingnoise can be heard.• The Bluetooth device is out of range.Reduce the distance between yourearpieces and Bluetooth device, orremove obstacles between them.• Charge your earpieces.The audio quality is poor whenstreaming from a mobile phone is veryslow or streaming does not work at all.Make sure your mobile phone not onlysupports (mono) HFP but also supportsA2DP and is BT4.0x (or higher)compatible (see ‘Technical data’ on page11).Clean your headphones regularly.• Use a clean, damp cloth to clean yourheadphones - especially the soundconduits and the microphone holes -regularly and avoid buildup ofsubstances such as sweat or earwax.• If any sweat or water droplets are leftin the sound conduits, air holes ormicrophone holes, the sound levelwill temporarily drop or cut outentirely. This is not a malfunction. Usea soft, damp cloth to dry theheadphones thoroughly.Alternatively, remove the earbud tips,turn the sound conduits downwardand gently tap the headphones about5 times on a dry cloth or similar toremove any water collected inside.• Be sure the headphones arecompletely dry before charging andusing. Avoid using disposable alcoholpads or other substances for cleaning.16 EN
