Open the face and remove door from the appliance bylifting door off of hinge pin and lay on a flat surface facedown.2. Using a screwdriver, tap the bottom of the rope retainerrod to push it up out of the hole. The top end of the rodwill slide up. Swing the rod toward you from the bottomand remove the rod. Repeat for other side.3. Remove old glass and replace with new glass.4. Slide the retainer rod into the top hole first, and thenline up the bottom crimped end with the hole in thedoor. The crimped end must be parallel with the glassin order to insert it into place. Igniter Replacement1. Shut down the appliance by turning down the thermostatand let the appliance completely cool down. After theappliance has cooled down, unplug it and remove theash drawer.2. The wire leads to the igniter are connected to the wireharness with 1/4 inch male / female spade connectors.Disconnect the spade connections and remove theigniter from the chamber. Loosen thumb screw andslide igniter out.3. Install new igniter into the chamber and tighten thumbscrew. Re-connect the wires to the 2 leads with thespade connectors.4. Double check that the igniter wires are clear of anymovement, i.e. ash drawer, fire pot cleaning rod,cleaning slide plates, etc.5.
