When setting-up carriage.Top Roller Replacement (fig.4.27)cAutIon!It is highly recommended to replace both top rollers•within each carriage assembly at the same time.Do not use lubricants anywhere on the assembly.•To replace the top roller:Loosen both plunger pin bracket nuts.•Loosen and remove both lower roller nuts (J), chassis•fastener nut (C), and base strut bolts (D) on bothsides. Remove base strut.Slide the inner carriage plate (E) off the fasteners,•towards the center of the chair.Loosen and remove both button head roller screws•(F).Remove old top rollers (G) from the upper roller•shafts (H) and replace with new top rollers.Reinstall the upper roller shafts (H) onto the inner•carriage plate (E), installing button head screws (F).Reinstall the carriage plate (E) onto the frame•assembly. Replace and tighten the nuts (J, C) and strutbolts (D).Ensure that the plunger pin is centered and engaged•into a rocker hole and tighten plunger pin bracketnuts.Repeat on the other side of chair as necessary.•bottom Roller Replacement (fig.4.27-4.28)cAutIon!It is highly recommended to replace both bottom•rollers within each carriage assembly at the sametime.Do not use lubricants anywhere on the assembly.•• Use a torque setting of 150 in.-lbs. when tighteningbottom roller nuts (J).To replace the bottom roller:Loosen both plunger pin bracket nuts.•Loosen and remove both lower roller nuts (J), chassis•fastener nut (C), and base strut bolts (D).Slide the inner carriage plate (E) off the fasteners,•towards the center of the chair.Remove old bottom rollers (I) from the roller bushings•(K) and replace with new bottom rollers.Reinstall the carriage plate (E) onto the frame•assembly.
