Bed Rail Tie-Down SystemCAUTION!The maximum load per cleat shouldnot exceed 250 lbs (113 kg) and theangle of the load on each cleatshould not exceed 60 degrees abovehorizontal, or damage to the cleat orcleat rail may occur.• There are two adjustable cleats oneach side of the bed that can be usedto assist in securing cargo.• Each cleat must be located andtightened down in one of the detents,along either rail, in order to keepcargo properly secure.• To move the cleat to any position onthe rail, turn the nutcounterclockwise, approximatelythree turns. Then, pull out on the cleatand slide it to the detent nearest thedesired location. Make sure the cleatis seated in the detent and tightenthe nut.• To remove the cleats from the utilityrail, remove the end cap by pushingup on the locking tab, located on thebottom of the end cap. Refer to thefollowing for the proper transfer caseNEUTRAL shifting procedure for yourvehicle.Recreational Towing Procedure —Manual Shift Transfer Case• Bring the vehicle to a complete stop,shut off the engine and depress thebrake pedal.• Shift the transmission and transfercase into NEUTRAL.• Start the engine and shift thetransmission into REVERSE.• Release the brake pedal for fiveseconds and ensure that there is novehicle movement.• Repeat the previous two steps withthe transmission in DRIVE.47UTILITY
