16 Chapter 3Using the TV’s Features and MenusThe V-Chip Rating ScreenThe following is an example of where items are located within the TV RATING LIMIT screen.Blocking Age-Based RatingsYou can automatically block all program ratings above aspecified age-based rating level.To block programs with higher ratings:1. Press the up or down arrow button to scroll to the ratingcorresponding with the lowest rating you do not wantthe child to watch.2. Press the OK button to toggle between U (Unblock) and B(Block). The status for the rating listed to the left and allhigher ratings automatically changes to B (Block).3. Press the GO BACK button to return the PARENTAL GUIDEmenu.4. Press the down arrow button to highlight PARENTALGUIDE OFF, then press the right arrow button to turn iton. It must be on for rating limits to take effect.Viewing Age-Based RatingsAfter you block age-based ratings, you can change some ofthe ratings back to Unblock.1. Press the up or down arrow button to select the ratingwith a status of B (Block).2.
