Chapter 2 21Playing DVDs/Audio CDsSelecting a Chapter or TrackBecause DVD discs use digital technology, a title can be divided into individual chapters (similarto tracks on a CD). To select a chapter or track during disc playback, following the steps:1. Press the CALL button (the information display appears).2. Press CH + to advance to the next chapter (or track) or CH – to go to the preceding chapter(or track). The chapter number changes in the information display.Note: The Chapter or Track feature won’t work if the disc isn’t formatted with separate chapters.Using the Repeat FeatureThe default mode for the Repeat feature is Off. There are two Repeat options:• Play Mode button enables you to repeat the Title or Chapter of a DVD that is playing. If youare playing an audio CD, it enables you to repeat a track or all of the tracks.• A•B – Set the beginning (point A) and the end (point B) to make this part of the disc playrepeatedly.Play Mode Button1. While a disc is playing, press PLAY MODE on the remote (the Repeat display appears).2. Press the left/right arrow to scroll through the Repeat options (Off, Chapter, Title for DVD andOff, Track, All for Audio CD).3. Press PLAY MODE (the selected repeat option will loop repeatedly until you turn Repeat off).Repeat is turned off by completing steps 1 through 2 above, and selecting the Off option.The PLAY MODE button toggles through these options for an Audio CD.Play Mode OffRepeat Off/Enter/Play Mode:: TrackPlay Mode OffRepeat::/Enter/Play ModeRepeatPlay Mode OffAll::/Enter/Play ModeRepeat/Enter/Play ModeOff: Chapter:Repeat/Enter/Play ModeRepeat Title:/Enter/Play ModeThe PLAY MODE button toggles through these option for a DVD.
