Wipe the disc from the center outward with a cleaning cloth.• NEVER use solvents such as benzine or alcohol to clean the disc.• Do NOT use irregular shaped discs (example: heart shaped, octagonal, etc.). They may cause malfunctions.Cleaning the Unit• Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC power adapter before cleaning the unit.• Wipe the unit with a dry soft cloth. If the surfaces are extremely dirty, wipe clean with a cloth that has been dipped in a weaksoap-and-water solution and wrung out thoroughly, then wipe with a dry cloth.• Never use alcohol, benzine, thinner, cleaning fluid or other chemicals. Using the Car Power AdapterThe 12V car power adapter allows theunit to be used with vehicles that have a12V, negative ground electrical system.Warning:Disconnect the car power adapter whennot in use. Not for use in 24V vehicles.A. Using the AC Power AdapterCaution:• The AC power adapter included with this unit is for its use only. Do not use it with other equipment.• When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the AC power adapter from the wall outlet.• When the AC power adapter is plugged in, the apparatus is not completely disconnected from the mainpower supply, even when the power is turned off.Warning:The AC/DC adaptor is used as disconnect device. The AC/DC adaptor of apparatus should not be obstructedOR should be easily accessed during intended used. To be completely disconnect the power input, the AC/DCadaptor of apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.Power SupplyThe supplied AC power adapteroperates on AC 100-120V.Caution:• Use the provided 12V car poweradapter only. Be sure to clean the cigarette lighter socket before use.• After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and cigarette lighter socket.C. Using the Built-in BatteryThe unit has a built-in, non-r e p l a c e a b l e , r e c h a r g e a b l ebatter y. Charge the built-inbattery before using it for thefirst time. Complete chargingtypically takes approximately4-5 hours. The charging light willgo out when the built-in batterybecomes fully charged.Warning:• The built-in battery can only be recharged when the unit is in CHARGE mode while using the AC poweradapter.• The built-in battery cannot be recharged when the unit is in ON mode.• Do NOT recharge the built-in battery in a vehicle using the car power adapter.• Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.Note:• When the built-in battery power is low, "Battery Low" will display on the screen and the unit will stopplaying.• Recharge the built-in battery when you are ready to use it again.• While using the built-in battery, the environmental temperature should be 41°F (5°C) to 95°F (35°C).• To get the longest service life of the built-in battery, charge at indoor-temperature.• The built-in battery in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do notdisassemble, heat above 212oF (100oC), or incinerate.• The unit should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.• When discarding the unit, environmental problems must be considered and local rules or laws governingthe disposal of such products must be strictly followed.Turning on the Unit1. Connecting a USB connector portYou can connect a USB flash drive (not included) to the USB port on the unit to play DivX® movies as well aspicture files.• Plug the USB flash drive to the USB port on the unit.• In DVD mode, press STOP button once to stop DVD playing, press STOP button three times to changeto USB mode.For operation of file playback on the USB flash drive, please refer to the section “PLAYING DivX® VIDEO ORPICTURE FILES”.Note:• It is recommended USB flash drive is plugged when the unit is in STANDBY mode.• It does not support USB harddisk mass storage device, multi-card reader and other USB computerperipheral.• It only supports USB flash drive (FAT32/16 max. capacity 32G bytes max, video bitrate is 7Mbps).• Make sure your USB flash drive or SD card is FAT16/FAT32 file system. All other file system will not besupported.D. Using a SD Card Slotyou can connect a Secure Digital (SD) card (not included) to the memory expansion card slot on the unit toplay sound & picture files.• Plug the SD card fully into the memory expansion card slot on the unit until it clicks.• In DVD mode, press STOP button once to stop DVD playing, press STOP button three times to changeto mode (DVD/USB/SD). In memory expansion card mode, it reads the information of the SD card andplaying the picture and/or sound file(s).Warning:• It is recommended the SD card is plugged when the unit is in STANDBY mode.• If the SD card is oriented incorrectly, it will not go fully into the slot. Do not apply force when inserting theSD card.• To remove the SD card, push the SD card into the slot and then slowly remove your finger, the lock isreleased and the SD card is pushed out.• Make sure to use correct Audio/Video cable, wrong plug connection may cause weak signal.• If you have a stereo VCR, make sure you set it in stereo mode.• Due to copyright protection, DVD movies cannot be copied. If you copy a DVD movie onto a videotape,the resulting copy will be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a defective DVD system.Note:Pressing STOP button is for "function change" between DVD/CD/CD-ROM, USB and/or SD Card mode.• To stop, press STOP button. Pressing button can resume in previous playback position. If STOPbutton is pressed three times, the unit trys to find the content of disc ("LOADING..." is shown), to find thecontent of USB ("READ USB" is shown) and to find the content of SD ("READ CARD" is shown).• To change media (e.g. change DVD/CD/CD-ROM to USB), press STOP twice for function change.• If only DVD/CD/CD-ROM exists, "NO USB/NO CARD" is shown as indication.• Please make sure your USB flash drive or SD card is FAT file system instead of NTFS file system. The DVDunit does not support NTFS file system.A. Connecting a TVIf your TV has audio/video inputs, youcan connect the unit to your TV usingstandard Audio/Video cables.Watching a DVD on your TV1. Connecting to HDMIHDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) supports both video and audio on a single digital connection foruse with DVD players, set-top boxes and other digital AV devices.HDMI has the capability to support standard, enhanced or high-definition video plus standard to multi-channelsurround-sound audio. HDMI features include uncompressed digital video, a bandwidth of up to 2.2 gigabytesper second (with HDTV signals), one connector (instead of several cables and connectors), and communicationbetween the AV source and AV devices such as DTVs.HDMI, the HDMI logo and High-Definition Multimedia Interface are trademarks or registeredtrademarks of HDMI licensing LLC.For TVs that support it, HDMI can provide the best quality audio and video output (depending on mediasource), and so is the preferred connection type. The HDMI cable (not included) incorporates both audioand video signals, so you will have just one cable running from the unit to your TV.
